Creating a Dropdown Filter on your Map allows site visitors to choose (filter) what they would like to view on the map.
Process for Adding a Dropdown Filter
Adding a dropdown filter is done by adding map filter tags. It is a three-way process:
1. Creating a Location Tag
2. Adding the created tag to the Map
3. Adding a Tag to the Map Location
Creating a Location Tag
Within the MapifyPro plugin, navigate to Location Tags. Below the Map Filter Tags section, enter the Name, Slug (optional), and the Description (optional) of your tag in each designated box.
Click on ‘Add New Location Tag’ to save it.
Adding a Location Tag to the Map
Within the MapifyPro plugin, click on Maps, then select the specific map where you want to add the location tag to. In the Map Filter Tags box, enter the location tag that you would like to add (use commas for more than one location tags). Click on ‘Update’ to save your changes.
Adding a Location Tag to the Map Location
Within the MapifyPro plugin, navigate to Map Locations, then click on the required location. Again, in the Map Filter Tags section, add the location tag that you wish to be added to the dropdown list. Save this by clicking on ‘Update.’
The location tags will serve as the filters in the dropdown list. When a user selects a filter, only those locations tagged with that filter will show.
NOTE: This feature is limited to the right sidebar only.
