Without this key, you cannot display Google Maps on your website. Here is a tutorial on exactly how to generate a Google Browser key for MapifyPro: https://mapifypro.com/how-to-create-a-google-browser-key/ If you prefer the written method, here is a very useful How to on how to generate a key. It only takes about a minute: https://churchthemes.com/page-didnt-load-google-maps-correctly/#RefererNotAllowedMapError Here are some helpful tips specific to our software when generating your key: 1. To have a key that works for any domain do not enter any value in the domain field and delete any added domains. So if you have just a wildcard character for the domain - remove that as well. Note that wildcard keys are not suggested for production use as they are public and exposed and any sites using the same key will count towards the same API usage limits. To specify a domain the best practice is to enter it as follows: *.yourdomain.com/* 2. Make sure the generated key is a "Browser Key". When creating a new key you should see a popup asking what type of key you wish to create - make sure "Browser Key" is selected. You can confirm the key you already have is of the correct type if it says "Browser API key" at the top of the key details page in the Google API Console. 3. Keys take time to update so even if you see an error when you've confirmed you've setup everything correctly it may still be down to just waiting 10-20 minutes for the settings to propagate throughout Google's servers. 4. If after confirming your settings are correct, waiting enough time and you still see an error instead of rendered maps open up the browser console and see if there are any Google Maps error messages shown (attached is an example). After you've succesfully generated your key, go to the MapifyPro tab in wp-admin, select "MapifyPro settings" and you'll see the field where you'll want to enter the key. All done!

Is State/City Page Customization Possible with MapifyPro?

Answer If you are trying to split locations into two sets or groups of locations, you can have a single set of locations, and you can choose which location goes on which map. For example, you can take one map which has the first group of locations for the current page, and you can have a separate map which goes on the second page which only contains the second group of locations. You can then easily move a location by removing it from the current map and adding it to the other map.

Is there a limit to the number of locations in one map that can be uploaded?

There is no limit in MapifyPro! For a high number of locations, please ensure that you turn on clustering in the map settings. This means that when the map is zoomed out, a city with 10 map locations will show up with a single map pin with the number 10 inside it. This is helpful for two reasons: 1. The map pins don't overlap when the site visitor zooms out. 2. Better panning and zooming for site visitors with slower computers/phones.

Is there a Way to Add the Map Location Information (e.g. Map Pins) in Bulk in a Batch Upload CSV?

Batch Upload Yes! This can be done via the Batch Upload feature as follows: 1. Within the MapifyPro plugin, navigate to Batch Upload. mceclip0.png 2. Download the sample CSV file and populate it properly while keeping its existing format. mceclip1.png 3. Once your Map Locations are saved in your CSV file, you're now ready to upload them in bulk. Note: It is recommended to start the batch upload by importing 10 rows at a time (of your CSV file). 4. When doing batch upload, please ensure to choose the correct Map where the locations should be uploaded, click on 'Choose File,' locate your filled-out CSV file, then click on 'Import.' mceclip2.png 5. Once importing has been completed, the Map Locations will now appear in your list of locations and be viewed on your Map. The CSV file as a Database The method used by MapifyPro’s batch upload feature treats your CSV file as a database. So, making changes to any item within the .csv will ONLY change that setting in the location, while ignoring the items that haven’t changed. This allows you to maintain a separate database of locations (your spreadsheet) and update as needed without creating duplicate locations once you upload it. Things to Consider When Performing a Batch Upload - Titles (column A) should be unique. Otherwise, the same title will update the Map Location instead of adding it. - The location field (column Q) should be filled in so that the location can be identified. This can be using an address, a business name, or GPS coordinates. - It is recommended to update the Enter URL and the Tooltip Content fields. The Batch Upload still may work with these are left blank, however, updating these fields will help when viewing the map. - If there are several locations in your batch upload, then we do recommend starting with a lower number e.g. 10, to ensure the locations are being updated on your map.
